what i am becoming
this feeling overcomes me almost every year, around this time. maybe its because the school year is starting and every time a new school year comes around, i feel a bit older, like a birthday or something. last year i began to notice how much more girlie i had become, hello kitty and all. but this summer i noticed something different. maybe its something every jewish girl goes through, but i am starting to become that typical jewish lady. i believe if i lived in new york it would be full blown, but since i live in ohio and come from a russian/jewish family its a bit more subdued. if i am acting the way i do now, non-stop talking, bargain hunting, talking with my hands, being a great listener, and becoming a caring bitch.......what am i going to be like in ten years! i classify a typical jewish mother in two or three categories. the first: the worried, neurotic, guilt-giving, crazy jewish mother that has to know everything and anything about everyone while she gossips about everything AND anything. the second: the overly caring, overly expressive, great listening, pushy, bargain hunting, huge bangle wearing, koogle making, jewish mother. and the third: the hippie jewish mother, who makes sure her children know about sex by the age of 5, and smokes her morning joint with her bearded mountain husband who makes jewlery and soaps. although there are so many people out there in this world, and the very orthodox jewish women are a culture all their own, i feel the typical jewish-american women needs to be identified in our society considering im turning into one of them. so if i dont see you in 20 years, just imagine because i MIGHT be 100 lbs heavier and wearing a moo-moo.

man on wire
comes out at the drexel grandview today: beautiful!
(thanks wikipedia):
Man on Wire is a 2008 documentary film directed by James Marsh. The film chronicles Philippe Petit's 1974 high-wire walk between the Twin Towers of New York's World Trade Center.
On August 7, 1974, shortly after 7:15 a.m., Petit stepped off the South Tower and onto his 3/4" 6×19 IWRC steel cable. The 24-year-old Petit made eight crossings between the still-unfinished towers, a quarter mile above the sidewalks of Manhattan, in an event that lasted about 45 minutes. During that time, in addition to walking, he sat on the wire, gave knee salute and, while lying on the wire, spoke with a gull circling above his head.
Port Authority Police Department Sgt. Charles Daniels, who was dispatched to the roof to bring Petit down, later reported his experience:
I observed the tightrope 'dancer'—because you couldn't call him a 'walker'—approximately halfway between the two towers. And upon seeing us he started to smile and laugh and he started going into a dancing routine on the high wire....And when he got to the building we asked him to get off the high wire but instead he turned around and ran back out into the middle....He was bouncing up and down. His feet were actually leaving the wire and then he would resettle back on the wire again....Unbelievable really....[E]verybody was spellbound in the watching of it.[2]
He was finally persuaded by police officers to give himself up after he was warned that a police helicopter would come to pick him off the wire. Petit was worried that the wind from the helicopter would knock him off the wire, so he decided it was time to give up. He was arrested once he stepped off the wire. The police – provoked by his taunting behaviour while on the wire – handcuffed him behind his back and roughly pushed him down a flight of stairs. This he later described as the most dangerous part of the stunt.[3]
His audacious high wire performance made headlines around the world. When asked why he did the stunt, Petit would say "When I see three oranges, I juggle; when I see two towers, I walk."

doing the nasty
so ive been on a pretty good run with eating healthy until about a month ago. i was packing my lunch with healthy protein filled bars and peanut butter sandwiches and apples and salads and i felt great! then, the moment i didnt have time to create these spectacular healthful packages for myself i resorted to the bad, but delicious fast food. hounddogs, pancakes, and especially taco bell. speaking of taco bell, i went there last week out of pure hunger with larry. he bought me the 89 cent 1/2 lbs burrito. it was everything it was supposed to be: meaty, greasy, cheesey, saucy, and filling. after finishing it off, and being satisfied, my stomach began yelling at me. if there was a stomach translator is the area they would translate my grumbles and gurgles to : "for 89 cents you did this to me, you stupid bitch. if you spent 10 more cents you could have AT LEAST gotten a few shreds of lettuce!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!". And now that im on my "summer break" and not running around all day, if i continue this awful, yet delicious, track of unhealthy food, i will probably be a blimp. but thank goodness for my new obsession with bike riding or i would be one right now. thanks bike that i am trying to get rid of, thanks!
