Essays

I'll be the first to admit that I am not a big reader. I probably finished reading two or three whole books in high school. I have read on my own, but like many things in my life, when I start something its really hard for me to finish. (having distractions doesn't really help). The books that I have read, and continue to read are personal essays by writers. I am obsessed with David Sedaris and will begin reading Naked sometime this week. As I finish off the Sedaris collection, I feel I should move on to other authors.........I came across Sloane Crosley and her book of essays called I Was Told There'd be Cake. I will, again, admit that I was interested in the book because of the title, and the fact that cake was incorporated somehow. After reading a little on the author, I feel this might be my next read. Stories are nice, and personal experiences are some of the best stories to tell and read. And apparently she makes really intracit dioramas...........which again is AWESOMEEEEEEEEEEEE. I want to make one.
